Positioning You Can Repeat, Season After Season

A guidance system is only as good as the correction signal behind it. PTx Trimble correction services deliver accuracy from 30 centimetres down to 2.5 centimetres — by satellite or over the network, without you buying, moving or maintaining a base station.

What a Correction Service Actually Does

Raw satellite positioning is not accurate enough to plant on. A correction service compares the satellite signal against known reference data and feeds your receiver a corrected position. That is what lets you come back to the same line next season rather than just driving straight today.

The right service depends on the job. Boundary mapping and tillage do not need what strip-till and planting need, and paying for accuracy you cannot use is money that could have gone into the ground.

Match accuracy to the job

CenterPoint RTX

The top of the RTX family. Repeatable 2.5 centimetre accuracy delivered straight from satellite, so it keeps working in country with no mobile coverage — which is most of the country.

  • Accuracy: 2.5 cm, repeatable year to year
  • Delivery: satellite or cellular
  • Initialisation: under 5 minutes on Trimble ProPoint devices, up to 20 minutes on others
  • Best for: strip-till, planting and seeding, spraying, spreading, harvesting

RangePoint RTX

Mid-tier accuracy by satellite. Enough for the passes where 2.5 centimetres is more than the job needs, at a price that reflects that.

  • Accuracy: 50 cm repeatable, 15 cm pass-to-pass
  • Delivery: satellite
  • Initialisation: under 5 minutes
  • Best for: tillage, seeding, spraying, harvesting

ViewPoint RTX

Entry-level RTX. Sub-metre guidance for the broadacre work where consistency across the pass matters more than returning to the same line months later.

  • Accuracy: 30 cm pass-to-pass
  • Delivery: satellite
  • Initialisation: under 5 minutes
  • Best for: tillage, seeding, spraying, harvesting, boundary mapping

CenterPoint VRS

RTK-level accuracy delivered over the mobile network from a fixed reference network, with no base station of your own. Initialisation is instant, which is the practical difference when you are turning around at the headland.

  • Accuracy: 2.5 cm, repeatable year to year
  • Delivery: cellular
  • Initialisation: instant
  • Best for: drainage, drip irrigation, land forming, strip-till, planting and seeding, spraying, spreading, harvesting

VRS is delivered over an internet connection, and it runs over Starlink as well as mobile. That matters: Starlink puts instant-initialisation RTK accuracy within reach of country where the mobile network was never going to carry it. Talk to us about what your connection will support.

xFill Premium

A back-up rather than a primary service. If your RTK radio or cellular link drops out, xFill Premium engages from satellite and holds 2.5 centimetre accuracy for as long as you need it, instead of the job stopping.

  • Accuracy: 2.5 cm, repeatable year to year
  • Delivery: satellite
  • Initialisation: under 5 minutes on Trimble ProPoint devices, up to 20 minutes on others
  • Best for: holding accuracy through RTK or VRS network dropouts

Compare the Services

Accuracy figures are PTx Trimble’s published specifications. What matters on your place is which of these the work actually calls for, and what your mobile coverage will carry.

What It Runs On

These services activate on PTx Trimble receivers and displays. Between them the RTX family covers:

  • Receivers: NAV-500, NAV-900, NAV-960, AG-372/AFS-372/PLM-372, AG-382, AG-392, SPS-986, R750
  • Displays: GFX-350, GFX-750, GFX-1060, GFX-1260, TMX-2050/XCN-2050, and the discontinued CFX-750/FM-750 and FmX/FM-1000

Not every service runs on every device. Production of some displays has stopped, but correction services are still available for units already in the paddock — so an older display does not automatically mean a new one. Send us what is in the cab and we will confirm what it will carry.

Subscriptions, Set-Up and Support

A correction service is a subscription, and a subscription that lapses mid-season is a day lost. We activate the service on your receiver, keep track of when it renews, and sort it out when something is not converging the way it should.

That is the difference between buying a licence online and having someone local who knows what is in your cab.

Correction Services FAQs

CenterPoint RTX is a PTx Trimble correction service delivering 2.5 centimetre accuracy, repeatable year to year, by satellite or over a network. It suits strip-till, planting and seeding, spraying, spreading and harvesting.

Both give 2.5 centimetre repeatable accuracy. CenterPoint RTX is delivered by satellite, so it works where there is no network coverage at all. CenterPoint VRS is delivered over an internet connection and initialises instantly, and it runs over Starlink as well as mobile.

RangePoint RTX delivers 50 centimetre repeatable accuracy and 15 centimetre pass-to-pass, by satellite, initialising in under 5 minutes. It suits tillage, seeding, spraying and harvesting.

Yes. CenterPoint VRS is delivered over an internet connection and runs over Starlink as well as mobile, which puts instant-initialisation RTK accuracy within reach of country the mobile network was never going to carry.

xFill Premium is a back-up rather than a primary service. If an RTK radio or cellular link drops out, it engages from satellite and holds 2.5 centimetre accuracy for as long as needed, instead of the job stopping.

Not for the RTX family. CenterPoint RTX, RangePoint RTX, ViewPoint RTX and xFill Premium are delivered by satellite. CenterPoint VRS needs an internet connection, which can be Starlink or mobile.

Between them the RTX family covers the NAV-500, NAV-900, NAV-960, AG-372/AFS-372/PLM-372, AG-382, AG-392, SPS-986 and R750 receivers, and the GFX-350, GFX-750, GFX-1060, GFX-1260 and TMX-2050/XCN-2050 displays, along with the discontinued CFX-750/FM-750 and FmX/FM-1000.
